Drowning one's sorrows (human statue)

A human statue formed by a man on a suit, immersed in a white bath. Using the saying "Drowning one's sorrows" as a title, the artist follows it to the letter and immerses himself in a bath where he stays for up to two hours and a half in stillness, breething through a simple and almost invisible mechanism. Sometimes, his eyes open suddenly as an answer to the spectator who awakens him from his timeless sleep.

Winner of a nomination and prize given by the jury in the 9th International Meeting of Human Statues of Espinho (Portugal 2005)
